Little Mix working on "uptempo" tracks for new album

Little Mix have recorded some "uptempo" songs for their new album, according to producer Jim Beanz.

Beanz has been working with the 2011 X Factor winners on material for their debut album, which is due to be released later in the year.

They have already unveiled the track 'Wings' as the first single and its accompanying video and airplay have left fans with a whetted appetite.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Beanz said that they worked together on a couple of "uptempo" tracks, although he isn't sure if they'll make the final cut yet. He said:

"I did two tracks with Little Mix which are both uptempo. One has more of a hip-hop-meets-pop sound, while the other is more pop-dance. I won't find out until the end if they've made the album, but their A&R team listened to them and loved them."

The producer added that he thinks Little Mix are four "stars" and that they were very attentive despite their lack of experience. He said:

"They are very hard-working. Our chemistry was interesting because I used to be in a group years ago, so I was quite good at making sure they belong together. They are four little stars and it's all so new to them, but they really listened well."
