X Factor's Lucy Spraggan hoping for One Direction collaboration

Now that the new season of The X Factor is underway, the contestants with real talent are starting to emerge and hopeful Lucy Spraggan caught the attention of the UK with her original song.

She took the stage over the weekend and performed a number called 'Last Night', which has since peaked at No.2 on the iTunes chart, and received online support from many Twitter users.

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson even used the social networking site to praise her, writing: "Well done babe! I'm a local lad from Doncaster! #comeonyorkshire."

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Spraggan revealed that she's overwhelmed by the reaction to her music so far and would love to duet with the 'What Makes You Beautiful' lads if the opportunity arose:

"It's just incredible to get those comments from Louis and to think that One Direction have heard of me. Of course I'd love a collaboration with One Direction. I'd love to work with any of these people. To do anything like that would just be incredible. To be in this situation is really hard to take in."

"But the One Direction boys are lovely. Of course I'd work with them."
