The likes of Lady Gaga and Adele are up for gongs at this year's Q Awards.

The ceremony will take place in London on October 22 as the music industry comes together to celebrate its output over the past year.

Lady Gaga will fight it out with acts such as Coldplay and Muse for the coveted Best Act In The World Today award.

'21' megastar Adele, meanwhile, is on the shortlist for the Best Solo Artist award.

Nicki Minaj is in the mix in the Best Video category for her 'Starships' promo clip, whilst Florence + The Machine's 'Shake It Out' is up for Best Track.

Other nominees include Frank Ocean and Alabama Shakes, who are both up for the Best New Act award.
