The 'What Makes You Beautiful' heartthrobs have rewarded their fans by sharing some brand new snap shots of themselves online.

Earlier today (September 6), One Direction's Twitter followers were asked to get the hashtag '#PreorderTakeMeHome' into the worldwide trending topics list and as a reward for being successful they have been treated to new pictures.

The first one uploaded to their official Twitter page shows Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne in hair and make up, while the other two (pictured below) include both Tomlinson and Payne preparing for a day of surfing in their wetsuits.

One Direction will perform at the MTV VMAs later tonight (September 6), where they are also nominated for two prizes, and member Niall Horan tweeted about his excitement for their appearance this afternoon:

"Just woke up! Its VMA day! Thank you all for voting for us! You guys are incredible! In exactly a weeks time I will be on mullingar golf course helping to raise funds for T.E.A.M and IAA ! Can't wait !"

Singer Louis Tomlinson added: "Literally the best way to start the day, with a surf ! Next, VMA's! What a great life we lead and it's all thanks to you guys!"
