President Obama comments on Nicki Minaj's 'Mitt Romney' verse

Rap sensation Nicki Minaj recently caught the attention of America's press when she teamed up with Lil Wayne for a track named 'Mercy', which includes a line about the current political battle.

The song features on Weezy's mixtape 'Dedication 4' and sees Minaj discuss the much-talked about presidential candidate Mitt Romney: "I'm a Republican, voting for Mitt Romney / You lazy b*tches is f**kin' up the economy."

During an interview with Florida-based radio station, Power 95.3, this morning (Sept. 10), President Barack Obama addressed her supposed Romney endorsement and said:

"Yeah, I'm not sure that's actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But she likes to play different characters. So I don't know what's going on there."

He admitted that his daughters, Sasha and Malia, don't "really listen to Nicki Minaj that much", adding: "but let's face it, they are now hipper than me. There's a certain point where your kids get old enough where they're hipper than you are."
