One Direction say there is no Justin Bieber on new album

One Direction have confirmed that there won't be any cameo from Justin Bieber on their forthcoming new album, according to reports.

The British boyband forged a friendship with the Canadian star this year, with Niall Horan and Zayn Malik recently spending time with the 'Believe' hitmaker before the MTV VMAs.

There had been strong speculation that the two acts would unite for a collaboration - possibly on One Direction's new album 'Take Me Home', which is due out on November 12 and a day later in the US.

However, The Sun quotes singer Harry Styles as saying that they have done it all without the help of the 'Boyfriend' singer. He said:

"There is no Justin Bieber on the album."

It has previously been revealed however that One Direction have been writing with Ed Sheeran and McFly for new album tracks.

'Take Me Home' will mark the follow-up to the band's 2011 release 'Up All Night', which helped launch the band to success around the world.
