Miley Cyrus is reportedly being investigated over claims she assaulted someone in a club.

The New York Daily News say that the singer and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth were supposedly involved in a scuffle at Beacher's Madhouse in Los Angeles on Saturday night (September 8).

Los Angeles Police Department's Rosario Herrera told the newspaper that the alleged victim filed a report against Cyrus after she is said to have pushed and punched them. The officer said:

"Miley, her boyfriend and the victim were talking and an argument ensued. Miley pushed the victim and struck the victim in the face. There were no visible injuries and no arrests made. The victim came to the station (to file the report). It's an ongoing investigation."

A spokesperson for Cyrus is said to have stated that the claims made against her are "false and erroneous".
