Hollywood heartthrob Ben Affleck has spoken out about his highly publicised relationship with 'On The Floor' songstress Jennifer Lopez and explained that the time period surrounding it was his "annus horribilis".

Speaking candidly to the new issue of Details magazine, Affleck - who was engaged to JLo during part of 2002 before they called off the wedding in 2004 - revealed that he is always associated with that one love affair and it annoys him:

"In our culture, we get very much into short-handing people. And I got shorthanded as That Guy: Jennifer Lopez, movies bombed, therefore he must be a sort of thoughtless dilettante, solipsistic consumer blah blah blah."

"It's hard to shake those sort of narratives. You were looking at that one-liner on me in 2003, which was definitely the annus horribilis of my life."

Meanwhile, Lopez has been talking about her new boyfriend Casper Smart and recently admitted she would consider having children with him if things continue to go well:

"I haven’t closed shop in that department. I don’t know, we have to see — we only have so many years that you can do that.”
