Black Eyed Peas sued for $1m over video game

'Boom Boom Pow' superstars Black Eyed Peas have been slapped with a lawsuit over the iOS version of 'The Black Eyed Peas Experience' video game.

The group have been sued by Ubisoft for $1 million (£620,000) because a port was also being developed for the iPhone and iPad through which to play the game, but developer is apparently unable to release it as the Black Eyed Peas still haven't responded to approval requests despite Ubisoft spending $233,000 (£144,000) on the iOS project.

Official Legal documents state: "Since March 2012, and despite Ubisoft's repeated requests, BEP Music has breached the contract by failing and refusing to either approve or disapprove the IOS game in writing or otherwise."

"Ubisoft has performed all of the obligations required of it under the contract, except as those obligations that have been excused by BEP Music's conduct or by operation of law."

'The Black Eyed Peas Experience' is currently available on the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360, and the lawsuit seeks to claim damages for development costs along with lost profits.
