Rapper Flavor Flav arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon

Legendary rapper Flavor Flav could face a six-year jail sentence after being arrested on suspicion of assaulting his fiancee and threatening to kill her son.

The Associated Press reports that it is claimed the 53-year-old Public Enemy star ripped the ring out of the ear of 39-year-old fiancee Elizabeth Trujillo.

It is also said that he threw Trujillo to the floor before apparently threatening to kill her 17-year-old son whilst holding two knifes.

Flav apparently cut his finger with a knife during the incident, which is said to have stemmed from an argument over infidelity.

The rapper, real name William Jonathan Drayton Jr, was taken by police on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and battery and is currently being held at the Clark County jail.

A police statement said: "The caller advised she had been involved in a physical altercation with her fiance, who was identified as William Drayton."

A police report meanwhile says that Flav confirmed to the arresting police officer that he "scuffled with Trujillo and her son" but that he denied chasing or threatening her son.
