The Wanted talk about 'retro' sounding new single 'I Found You'

Heartthrobs The Wanted have opened up about their brand new single, which debuted at No.3 during the midweek update, and explained that it was fun to experiement with a new musical style.

'I Found You' features some impressive notes from the lads and it has a different sound to their other known material, and speaking to Glamour magazine member Jay McGuiness revealed it was a challenge but the "retro" appeal works for them:

"We've never really trod on the retro thing before, ever. We've done little bits of rock in our albums, and littke bits of folk I guess, and a tiny bit of dub step. Who hasn't?"

"But we've never done the retro thing, so we've though we'd try it. Get the old falsetto out and it sounds quite good."

He added that the meaning behind the lyrics is about being inspired by another person when you're at your lowest point and finding that salvation in someone else:

"It's to any woman or man. When you're in a really low, terrible place and you just feel that you can't help yourself out of it, you find someone who saves you a little bit. That's what it's about really."
