Conor Maynard to focus on cracking America in 2013

'Can't Say No' sensation Conor Maynard has revealed his plans to make a name for himself in the USA next year.

The popular British singer told reporters at last night's (November 11) MTV European Music Awards that now he's started to enjoy great success in his native UK he wants to branch out a bit and try his luck at going stateside after Christmas:

"For me, this year, I've already had the amazing experience first-hand of seeing what MTV can do and how much of a platform it is."

When asked if his goal for 2013 is to crack the U.S. market, Maynard added: "Yeah definitely - a lot of 2013 is going to be promoting my debut album and then putting it out in America."

The young star also took to his official Twitter page after the awards ceremony and thanked his fans for always being there and supporting him: "On the way back to the UK... EMAs were amazing :) #Mayniacs thank you for getting me there!!! x"
