After Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift were named among the early winners of the 40th anniversary American Music Awards this evening (November 18), more trophies have now been handed out.

'One More Night' hitmakers Maroon 5 were named the Best Pop/Rock Band, Lady Antebellum landed the Best Country Band title, and Shakira was crowned Best Latin Artist.

Elsewhere, 'Halo' icon Beyoncé took home the award for Soul/R&B Female Artist, Rihanna emerged the winner of the Soul/R&B Album category for 'Talk That Talk', and pop songstress Katy Perry scored the Pop/Rock Female Artist gong.

Along with winning the Pop/Rock Male Artist title earlier in the ceremony, Justin Bieber was also handed the prize for Pop/Rock Album for 'Believe', which he is currently touring the world in support of.

Nicki Minaj went on to win the Rap/Hip-Hop Artist title following her previous success in the Best Rap/Hip-Hop Album category a few hours prior.
