Harry Styles helps sell mum's car

Harry Styles' mum managed to sell her car online to a bidder whose eye was caught by her famous son's name.

The One Direction heartthrob's mum Anne listed her mini for £6,000 on eBay with the description, "Owned by Harry Styles’ mum.”

Responsibility for selling the car was given to car dealer and family friend Dave - who sold Styles his very first car. His description on the online bidding site read:

"Harry Styles of One Direction bought this stunning car for his Mum Anne as a Mother’s Day present in 2011.

"The lucky winner can have the car handed over by Anne who will be delighted to meet the new owner. The car is located at my garage and NOT at Anne’s house, so please do not come here expecting to see Anne, that privilege will be reserved for the lucky winning bidder. Don’t miss out on this unique car and photo opportunity!!!!”

The car dealer revealed to The Mirror:  “It was a woman from Newcastle who bought it. I think Harry’s name caught her eye.

“Anne will be meeting her when she comes down to pick it up.”

Meanwhile, Little Mix want to "be as big" as fellow X Factor stars One Direction as they think their level of success is "insane".

The girl group - comprising Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall - became the first group to win hit TV talent show in 2011 with judge and mentor Tulisa by their side.

Edwards - who is currently dating One Direction member Zayn Malik - says the group look to their fellow former X Factor contestants for inspiration.

She explained: “They’re always there if we ever need advice. We’re amazed by what they’ve accomplished. It’s insane. We want to be as big as that one day!”

Little Mix's debut album DNA was released on November 19.
