Madonna named as one of 2012's least influential people

Madonna has been called one of the least influential people of the last year.

A list compiled by the American GQ magazine has picked out the celebrities who had a rather flat 2012.

Ranked in no particular order, the 25-person strong list is said to be a "collection of people so uninspiring that we should round them all up and stick them on an iceberg."

Madonna, who released her new album 'MDNA' and toured the globe this year, was named in the list, alongside people such as failed Presidential candidate Mitt Romney and actress Amanda Bynes.

Speaking about the Queen of Pop's place in the list, GQ said:

"It's time for you to stop putting out aggressively bland comeback albums and make room for Ke$ha and Katy [Perry] and the other 800 female artists out there who change outfits every five minutes to distract people from their terrible singing."

Madonna was also nominated in the magazine's 'Shameful Dishonour' category for her love of stripping off whilst on stage.
