Kelly Clarkson reveals conditions of her retirement from music

Superstar Kelly Clarkson has admitted that while she is nowhere near bowing out of the spotlight, she has thought about what it would take for her to consider retiring from a career as a singer.

She recently released her first retrospective collection 'Greatest Hits - Chapter One' and explained to the Daily Star that she will only quit the industry when it "stops being fun":

"I'm 30 but the label said, 'Let's do a greatest hits'. Each record is a chapter of your life and I will only retire when it stops being fun. But right now I'm nowhere near."

She also confessed that the longevity she has enjoyed pushed her to want to help other aspiring artists and she was excited to give back by taking part in a vocal talent show as a mentor in the U.S.:

"I did this show called Duets in the States where I was a mentor to a guy and a girl," she said. "We've got her two songs to demo. I didn't realise how into it I would be but people who are starting out always want something from you so it's nice to help them out.
