Chris Brown returns to Twitter to promote domestic violence charity

Chris Brown has reactivated his Twitter account to plug an anti-domestic violence charity.

The singer had deleted his account recently after getting himself embroiled in a lurid argument with writer Jenny Johnson.

Brown, who was convicted of assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, rounded on the comedienne after she criticised his past.

The R&B man recently resumed his Twitter account, however, and has asked his fans to vote for anti-violence charity Break The Cycle in the American Giving Awards, which sees a number of charities vying for funding.

He said: "Team Breezy! Vote for love & respect! Only a few hours left."

Brown previously expressed on his reactivated Twitter his desire to start again after his public spat, tweeting: "Time to start fresh. #newchapter."
