Tulisa's debut album sells "only 7,000 copies"

Tulisa's new album could miss out on hitting the top 20 of the UK charts this weekend (December 9).

The singer has released her debut solo album 'The Female Boss' but The Sun reports that it has sold disappointingly.

They say midweek data shows the record is placed at No.17 on the UK albums chart after selling only 7,000 copies - despite the singer performing new single 'Sight of Me' live on the X Factor last weekend.

That means the album could drop out of the top 20 completely by the time the chart is officially announced on Sunday (December 9).

The single, meanwhile, is said to be resting at No.10 on the UK chart.

Tulisa recently spoke to Digital Spy about how she is finding solo life, admitting that she misses her N-Dubz colleagues. She said:

"It's exciting but nerve-wracking all at the same time, but I've been really enjoying the freedom to sing what I want, write what I want. But then another part of me misses the team work and going through the motions - whether it be up or down - with two other people. It's a lot easier in the studio without them but that's not to say it wasn't as creative or fun. I still miss the boys."
