Spice Girls musical 'Viva Forever' premieres in London tonight

Tonight is the official launch of the Spice Girls musical, entitled Viva Forever, and the stars have been turning up to the exciting event on the red carpet, where both Mel B and later Victoria Beckham stopped to sign an autograph for a wheelbound fan.

Producer Judy Craymer, writer Jennifer Saunders and four out of the five members of the iconic girl group have arrived at London's Piccadilly Theatre ahead of the show.

Melanie B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell were all photographed together for the occasion and Sporty Spice took to her official Twitter page earlier this afternoon (December 11) to thank her team for helping her to prepare for the premiere: "Thank you to @ChristianCoates and @Soulmatefood for getting me red carpet ready for the @vivaforever premiere xxx."

Victoria Becham arrived at the event later this evening.

Meanwhile, writer Saunders tweeted a message to tell her fans that she is "quite nervous" about the show's proper debut. Emma Bunton also expressed her anticipation and wrote: "My waterproof mascara is going on, I think there might be tears tonight!! #vivaforever."
