Robbie Williams named Man of the Year in new end of year poll

Cheeky hitmaker Robbie Williams has been crowned Man of the Year by The Sun in its 2012 Bizarre Awards.

It has been a fantastic twelve months for the 'Candy' sensation as he became a father, enjoyed both a No.1 single and chart-topping album, and performed a three-night residency at London's O2 Arena. Speaking about the award to the British newspaper, Williams said:

"I’d like to say thank you very much to The Sun and its readers and thank you very much for this year. It’s been amazing. A No 1 single, No 1 album, three nights at the O2 and, of course, my little girl Theodora turned up this year. It’s been the most complete year I’ve ever had and the best year of my life."

Other winners at this year's Bizarre Awards included rockers Keane who were given the Best Biz Session of 2012 prize, Emeli Sandé who scored the Woman of the Year title and One Direction who picked up the Best Pop award.
