One Direction have revealed their highlights of 2012.

The five piece - comprising Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - rose to international superstardom this year with No. 1 albums 'Up All Night' and 'Take Me Home.'

The singers also won a plethora of awards - including MTV's Best Artist of the Year and three Video Music Awards.

Malik revealed to MTV News: "We've had a big year," before Styles added of their sell-out Madison Square Garden shows in New York City: "I think it's always a really hard question when we get asked our top moment. Madison Square Garden was definitely one of the top things we've ever done and will ever do.

"I think it just topped off an amazing year for us, and it's just been amazing."
