One Direction experience ticket sales surge as news of Styles and Swift's split emerges

A representative has confirmed that sales of tickets to One Direction's forthcoming world tour have seen an impressive 50% rise in the past day.

This news comes just after it was reported that member Harry Styles has split from Taylor Swift, who he was pictured with excessively throughout December and enjoyed a holiday in the British Virgin Islands with recently, and it was also revealed that Swift's ticket sales have now almost halved.

Louise Mullock, spokesperson for ticket retailer Seatwave, explained: "1D and Taylor Swift are two of the most popular acts in the world and they’re consistently among our best-sellers."

"However, the adulation received by 1D is one of a kind, and the boys’ fans are famously protective. Since many of Taylor’s fans are also 1D fans, she may have bitten off more than she can chew by dividing their loyalties."

Meanwhile, the One Direction heartthrobs just released their new music video for 'Kiss You' and fans on Twitter have been suggesting that it's broken their previous record for the most views in 24 hours, but VEVO is yet to confirm this and tweeted:

"As w/ all big premieres, #KissYouOnVEVO 24hr views won't be ready immediately. Once we get numbers from YouTube, our apps, etc. We'll share!"

News of Swift and Styles' supposed split surfaced after a photograph of the country-pop beauty was released that showed her sitting alone on a boat (shown below) at their holiday destination.
