Little Mix have revealed that they aren't the type to let their boyfriends take advantage of them.

Speaking to US magazine Seventeen as they bid to crack America, the X Factor 2011 winners revealed that they won't put up with any nonsense when it comes to relationships.

Jesy Nelson, who is currently dating Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo, said:

"We all have boyfriends, we're not about letting boys take advantage of girls. We wear the trousers in our relationships - none of us have ever done anything crazy for a boy."

Perrie Edwards meanwhile, who is dating One Direction hunk Zayn Malik, said that their particular relationship works because they speak to each other often. The singer said:

"We talk to each other every day either on the phone or on Skype. I think keeping each other updated on what's going on and having something to talk about is the main key. I always save my funny stories to tell him!"
