Diver Tom Daley has hinted at collaborating with One Direction in the future.

The Team GB star made a splash at the London 2012 Olympic Games and immediately saw his celebrity status rocket as a result.

He has struck up some showbiz friendships since the Games, with One Direction's Liam Payne a notable comrade.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Daley said he might be interested in singing with the 'What Makes You Beautiful' stars - but he admitted he will probably need some help. The diver said:

"It's been really cool to get to know the One Direction boys, mainly Liam out of all of them, who I am really good mates with."

Daley continued: "Maybe I will sing with them but you would have to auto-tune the F out of me! I couldn't go on X Factor anytime soon."
