'American Idol' runner up Jessica Sanchez is "so ready" to unveil debut album

Former 'American Idol' runner up Jessica Sanchez has revealed that she has finished her debut album.

The vocal sensation, who came second on Season 11, explained to Billboard that the wait is almost over and she's preparing to release it this spring, with the first single coming next month:

"I'm so ready for everyone to hear it! It's going to be dancey and something that I could definitely see being remixed and in the clubs."

She also teased that R&B superstar Ne-Yo features on one of her tracks after meeting while he was working on a song in the studio: "He was writing a song when I was in the studio and it took him about 40 minutes to write it. I'm actually doing that song with him and it's going to be on the album."

Last year, Sanchez signed up as a new cast member on the hit U.S. musical series 'Glee' and added that she's currently honing her acting skills before she starts shooting her scenes:

"I'm taking acting classes right now to prepare for it. I can't wait to get on the show and see how I do and see how everybody reacts to it. I have no idea what my character will be like. It's exciting!"
