Lady Gaga's Born Brave Bus targeted by anti-gay group protesters

Earlier this week, Lady Gaga's Born Brave Bus kicked off its tour with a stop in Tacoma, Washington, but the event was marred by a protest from an anti-gay organisation.

The Florida Family Association (FFA) marked the bus's arrival in the city by flying a small airplane over the location of the tour's stop that carried a banner emblazoned with the slogan, "Not Born This Way".

The FFA explained that it specifically targeted Gaga's effort to help fans and young people find anti-bullying, suicide prevention and mental health services, and a spokesperson for the organisation described her concerts and attitudes as "Godless":

"The fact that someone these kids do not know spent significant resources to fly a plane to tell them they are NOT born that way will prayerfully speak to their souls."

"Florida Family Association would like to fly more banners to counter Gaga’s hedonistic, Godless message at more concerts."
