Macklemore peaks at No.1 with 'Thrift Shop'

Seattle based rapper Macklemore has surged towards the No.1 spot during today's (February 6) midweek singles chart update.

His track 'Thrift Shop', which also features Wanz and Macklemore's long-time collaborator Ryan Lewis, has sold nearly 100,000 since its release in the UK three weeks ago and is now at the top spot, just ahead of White Noise's 'Disclosure' at No.2.

Fall Out Boy have marked their comeback with a new entry at 5 in the form of 'My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark' and Bruno Mars' track 'Locked Out Of Heaven' has dropped 7 places to No.23.

Elsewhere in the UK Top 40, girl group Little Mix have climbed an impressive 19 positions to No.12 with their latest offering, 'Live Your Life', and James Arthur's 'Impossible' has fallen 4 spots to No.15.
