Rita Ora: "I was asked to be a new X Factor judge"

Rita Ora has revealed that she has turned down the chance to become a new X Factor UK judge.

The panel currently consists of Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Nicole Scherzinger and veteran Louis Walsh.

However, Ora told the Mirror that she has held discussions in the past few months about becoming a permanent judge - something which she turned down. The 'Radioactive' star said:

"There were talks. But if I were to take on that role it would have to be at a point when I could give it my full attention."

She added: "I have so much to accomplish first and it's kind of a full-time job being on X Factor. It's not like a nine to five. It's constant, for months."

None of the current panel have confirmed that they are leaving the show ahead of its 2013 series, but both Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa have both been subject to exit speculation.

Ora meanwhile appeared as a guest judge at the start of the 2012 X Factor series.
