Selena Gomez shocked by protesters at Adidas fashion show

Pop sensation and Hollywood actress Selena Gomez attended a fashion event last night (February 6) for NEO by Adidas, for which she is a brand ambassador, but it was marred by protesters.

The show took place in New York City yesterday, but a couple of people brandishing anti-sweatshop leaflets turned up and accused the well-known sports company of unethical labour practices abroad.

The leaflets were emblazoned with the message: "Selena Gomez: Be an ambassador for children, not for sweatshops."

The beauty, dressed in Adidas, shook off the unpleasant encounter and told the crowd: "Thank you so much for coming out. I'm so excited to be a part of this and so excited to see what you guys did with it, you did an amazing job!"

Tweeting about her appearance at the event, Gomez simply wrote: "Amazing show for @adidasNEOLabel tonight!! They looked amazing.#NEOrunway :)))"
