Carly Rae Jepsen: "I will show a different side with new music"

Canadian songstress Carly Rae Jepsen is excited to show a "different side" with her new music this year.

The international superstar shot to international recognition with hit party anthems 'Call Me Maybe' and 'Good Time' featuring Owl City.

Jepsen - who has been nominated for two Grammy awards at this weekend's ceremony - is looking forward to showing a different side to herself with her newest single.

She told Access Hollywood: "I'm really excited for the new year to show a different side of things. It's been fun to do feel-good songs but I think the next single 'Tonight I'm Getting Over You' is something I'm really looking forward to. The break-up song"

She added: "I've definitely experienced the push and pull relationship where it's on again off again. I think a lot of girls can relate to that."

Jepsen, 27, has had a lot of fun recording her feel-good tracks and their accompanying videos, especially for 'Good Time.'

She revealed that there are downsides to every video shoot though, joking: "That was such a scary music video. I was driving in that Fiat and I thought I was going to kill people. It was so scary. I'm a terrible driver."
