Rap superstar Kanye West and his pregnant partner Kim Kardashian were allowed to bypass crucial airport security in New York earlier this week.

An airline employee escourted them "through a non-public area in order to provide expedited access to their domestic flight" at New York’s Kennedy International Airport on Tuesday (February 12) according to Transportation Security Administration spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein.

Despite skipping security, the celebrity couple had already gone through customs and baggage screening. TSA officials were then forced to screen them privately, which led to their flight being delayed by around 50 minutes.

Meanwhile, West recently announced one-off live concert dates in both London and Paris and will perform at the Hammersmith Apollo on February 24.
