Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds set for No. 1 album

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are on course for a No. 1 album this week after topping today's (February 20) midweek chart update.

The Australian alternative rock band - formed in London in 1983 - have marked 30 years with the release of their fifteenth studio album 'Push the Sky Away'.

The record is ahead of Emeli Sandé's 'Our Version Of Events' which is currently sat at No. 2 in the midweek chart update.

The Les Misérables cast recording has slipped three places to No. 3. The soundtrack from director Tom Hooper’s big screen adaptation of the hit musical - which stars Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman - enjoyed a couple of weeks at the top of the album charts after the film's release earlier this year.

Jake Bugg's self-titled album is down one place to No. 5, while Mumford & Sons' 'Babel' also slipped one spot to No. 6 after 22 weeks in the chart.

Bruno Mars' 'Unorthodoc Jukebox' is a non-mover at No. 7.
