Jermaine Jackson has officially changed his name to Jermaine Jacksun, according to Los Angeles court officials.

As previously reported, the brother of Michael Jackson filed a request late last year to change his name for "artistic reasons".

Jermaine was said to have fallen out with the Jackson family last year after matriarch Katherine supposedly went missing.

Reuters reports that the name change was confirmed at a hearing on Wednesday (February 20) in Los Angeles.

The 58-year-old singer did not attend the hearing.
