The organisers of England's V Festival have confirmed details of this year's event and the acts are far from disappointing.

Global icon Beyoncé and rockers Kings of Leon are set to headline the festival, which will take place both in Essex and Staffordshire, and they are also going to be joined by the likes of Jessie J, Emeli Sande and The Script.

Writing on its official Twitter page, V Festival staff revealed even more artists who are due to perform at the outdoor extravaganza:

"The fantastic @stereophonics, @thescript & @emelisande will be heading to #VFestival. Who's ready for some @CalvinHarris, @Beady_Eye & @JessieJ at #VFestival. Fancy some @TDCinemaClub, @TheRealVaccines & @TheBasementJaxx at #VFestival. Who's excited for @ollyofficial, @Palomafaith & @RitaOra at #VFestival?"

Tickets for 2013's V Festival, which will take place on August 17-18, will go on sale at 9am on Friday, March 1 and the full list of artists already confirmed can be seen below:
