Simon Cowell: "One Direction are the most grounded artists I've ever worked with"

Simon Cowell has gushed praise on One Direction and their down to earth nature.

The music mogul helped pieced together the group from five solo contestants on the 2010 series of the UK X Factor and it seems to have been one of his shrewdest moments yet.

The group have gone on to achieve worldwide success, selling millions of albums and singles in the process on Cowell's Syco label.

Despite their fame, however, there appears to be no diva-esque moments of anger and fall-outs behind the scenes. When asked by heat magazine if he fears the boyband could crumble as a result of rows, Cowell said:

"No, we have the very best team imaginable for the boys. They are the most grounded artists I've ever worked with. They're really nice boys, so there are no tantrums. It's my job to make sure they are happy."

One Direction meanwhile are currently touring the UK and Ireland, with a show at Glasgow's SECC tonight (February 26) their next stop.
