Rita Ora: 'I'm recording my new album in secret'

'R.I.P' sensation Rita Ora has admitted that she wants her sophomore record to remain a surprise up until the day it gets released.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the songstress explained that people know too much about albums before they come out and it can take the magic out of the music so she's aiming to record her new offering "in secret":

"Well, me and Sony have come up with a great plan to do an album really kind of, it's almost like doing it in secret."

"Obviously everyone knows I'm doing an album but I don't want anybody to even have a clue of what it's going to sound like, I just want it to come out. I think that was the problem with the last album. I think that everybody knew what was coming so this album is all about being almost in secret."

She added that the album will be released at some point later this year because she thinks continuity is important: "We're doing it right at the moment. It's going to be [released] this year - I don't really want any gaps. But it's all in due time. I'm doing a lot of research on the road - it's like going back to music and studying it out."

"We've been working with Dev Hynes a lot on this album. It's just coming from a different place. It's still Rita. It's still that party girl that people love but it's from a different angle."
