Tiësto confirms 20-month Las Vegas DJ residency

DJ Tiësto, who was last year named the world's highest paid DJ, has announced that he is set to head to Sin City for an extensive live residency at the MGM Grand Hotel.

The superstar explained that Ibiza has grown tired and he was more drawn to the buzz surrounding Las Vegas so when the opportunity was offered to him, he simply couldn't turn it down.

He issued a statement on the exciting news and explained that now seemed like the perfect time: "With the scene blowing up in America, Vegas is so much fun now. It's the right time to do it. I do everything on my gut feeling, and I felt like it's gonna be awesome there. I've been to Ibiza for 10 years, and I love Ibiza, but I always look for something new and a new challenge."

Tiësto added: "They want to make it an experience. For sure, the production inside the club is going to be amazing."

He will perform more than 20 daytime sets at the resort's outdoor pool area along with around 40 shows at the brand new Hakkasan Restaurant and Bar, which houses an impressive 7,000 people.
