Emma Bunton joins campaign to end world child hunger

Spice Girls beauty Emma Bunton has revealed that she's backing a UNICEF UK campaign that is trying to put an end to children going hungry around the world.

Talking about the project, she explained that as a mother of two sons it's an issue very close to her heart and during the run up to Mother's Day (March 10) she felt it was important to speak out about the cause:

"It's so shocking that one in four children around the world are not getting the right nutrients they need to grow up healthy and strong in their first 1,000 days of life. When my boys were toddlers I'd sit here (at home) and sing (song) You are my sunshine to them while the light streamed in on us."

"When they reached the stage where they could start singing along it really was a magical moment and one I'll always remember in those first important 1,000 days. Every mother should be able to enjoy these precious moments in their child's life and development."

She also shared a promotional snapshot to confirm her involvement via Twitter and accompanied the photo with the caption: "This #mothersday I’m helping @UNICEF_UK give every child the best start in life."

Fans can also help the UNICEF Mother's Day campaign by donating money here.
