'Shine Ya Light' hitmaker Rita Ora has revealed that the new album she's currently working on will be released this year before the festive season approaches.

Speaking to BBC's Newsbeat about the collection of songs she's perfecting in the studio, Ora explained that she has a lot of life experience that will be great material for lyrics so is focusing on recording:

"I'm in the process of doing a new album and the single is set to be released mid after summer time, so just before Christmas."

"It's really exciting because a lot has changed in the three years. My whole life has changed, so there's a lot of things I need to write about."

When asked about the importance of collaborators, she added that it doesn't matter how big they are in commercial terms because it's all about the musical connection you have:

"I think it's about who you can connect with and the energy. It could a twelve-time Grammy artist, but if you don't vibe, it's all about the connection."
