Amy Poehler apologises to Taylor Swift for Golden Globes joke

'Parks and Recreation' star Amy Poehler has said sorry to country-pop sensation Taylor Swift after mocking her love life while hosting the Golden Globes earlier this year.

Poehler teamed up with friend and long-time collaborator Tina Fey to host the event in January and made a joke about Taylor Swift's string of boyfriends on stage by telling her to stay away from Michael J. Fox's teenage son and advising her to take "some me time".

During a new interview with Vanity Fair, Swift hinted at the fact that she was offended by the remarks and talked about how women need to be more supportive of each other in the entertainment industry: "You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people, because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, 'There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women."

41-year-old Poehler told The Hollywood Reporter: "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."
