One Direction fans swamp girl with online abuse after she meets Harry Styles

Fans of the UK boyband One Direction have been sending abusive messages to a girl who recently spent time with Harry Styles backstage at a concert.

Fia Litton is the niece of one of the band's security guards, Preston Mahon, and met the lads at their gig in Dublin last night (March 13). The pretty brunette shared a couple of photographs of herself posing with the curly-haired heartthrob, which enraged Directioners and prompted them to send her hateful tweets.

One Twitter user asked her, "does your family approve of ur [sic] sluttiness?" to which she replied, "I'm not a slut, so stop embarrassing yourself by writing to me." She also felt the need to clarify the nature of her relationship with Styles and added: "Relax, we're friends."

When another accused her of bragging after spending time with the singer, she hit back and wrote: "I'm not bragging. I put up pictures like anyone would."

Earlier this afternoon (March 14), Litton sent a message from her own account asking for the negativity to stop: "I'm not a slut or whore, and my life is nobody's business so can the abusive messages please stop now."
