Rita Ora on fashion: 'I like to be comfortable, but that doesn't matter where style is concerned'

'Shine Ya Light' songstress Rita Ora has opened up about sense of fashion and revealed that while she likes to feel comfortable, sometimes the outfits she wants to wear are far from that.

Speaking to London's Metro newspaper about her style, she explained that creating a persona through clothing is exciting and she loves to embody different looks by mixing up what she wears:

"I’ve always loved fashion as much as I love being on stage, although it’s different. But I never really followed trends or cared what people thought about my outfits. I always bought and wore what I wanted. If I wanted to wear a mask on my head, I’d do it. If I wanted to wear an Audrey Hepburn hairstyle, I’d wear it."

"I like to be comfortable but I don’t always take it into consideration. I really like latex clothes, for example. But latex dresses… people come up to me and go: “Are you comfortable in that?” And I’m like: “I don’t care. How does it look? It looks good? All right, cool.”’

She added that the best thing about fashion is the individualism it promotes: "Fashion represents individuality, an exaggeration of one’s characteristics. It’s another way of portraying an emotion. It’s a place where you can be accepted for being yourself."
