'Selena Gomez was game from the start' says 'Spring Breakers' director

Harmony Korine, the director of 'Spring Breakers', has revealed that he didn't have to talk Selena Gomez into any of the scenes because she was "game" for everything in the risqué script.

Gomez plays a bikini-clad party girl in the movie who, with the help of her friends, robs a restaurant in order to enjoy a luxurious spring break. As the plot progresses, the girls get entangled with a drugs and arms dealer and the film has been given an 'R' rating.

Speaking to The Independent about the motion picture's adult scenes, Korine explained that the former Disney starlet was on board from day one:

"I didn't have to do any convincing or hustling. They were totally game from [the] beginning and it never seemed there was much career strategising. I have a body of work. People can see what I'm trying to do and the places I try to go. They know I go hard and they know that I don't fake it."

Gomez recently admitted that she was very "comfortable" on set and was put at ease by Korine: "We talked about how he wanted to leave my lifestyle behind and have me go on this adventure with him. I knew it was going to be crazy, but I was comfortable with it. Harmony wanted an innocence because he thought it would be creepier."
