Ant & Dec to donate PJ & Duncan single profits to charity

Ant & Dec have revealed that they will give profits made on their 'Let's Get Ready To Rhumble' single to charity.

As previously reported, their 1994 PJ & Duncan song hit No.1 on the UK iTunes chart after the duo performed the song on their Saturday Night Takeaway show at the weekend (March 23).

The track, which only charted at No.9 when it was first released, is enjoying new found popularity and the British TV pair are set to take advantage of that by donating any profits to charity. Ant McPartlin told BBC Radio 2:

"I've been trying to push it under the carpet! People are still buying the track, so we've just decided that any money we make out of it will be put towards Childline, as we're patrons of that."

He added: "[When we] recorded it, we never really thought much about it, it got to number nine. That's the one song everybody still to this day is on about, it kinda changed everything for us. I never thought we'd be performing it 19 years later on a Saturday night TV show."

The song meanwhile is on course to top the UK singles chart on Sunday (March 31).
