Justin Bieber's mother Pattie Mallette has admitted that she has to "let go a little" when it comes to worrying about her son.

The Canadian superstar endured a tough last month, with the 'Boyfriend' man at the centre of a number of negative headlines whilst in the UK on tour recently.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, Mallette said that it is now up to the 19-year-old to decide what is right and what is wrong in life. She said:

"Him being 19, you know, I've just gotta let go a little and let him make some of his own decisions. He's growing up. He's 19. He's not my baby."

Mallette meanwhile also told E! that she looks for God's guidance in making sure her son is doing okay. She said:

"Of course I pray for him and I encourage him. I can't really speak to how he handles that part of his life."
