Carrie Underwood not expecting to win at ACM awards

Country pop star Carrie Underwood has been nominated for two of the biggest awards at tonight’s annual Academy of Country Music awards. However, the ‘Good Girl’ singer has low expectations.

"I'm not expecting to win anything," she told radio station 99.5 XTU. "I guess you get a little more, like, you know a little more about how it's all going to go down."

The singer is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year – which is her eighth nomination in the category – and Album of the Year for her record ‘Blown Away’ which boasts platinum sales and three No. 1 singles.

She adds, "It's still so exciting, and it's still so much fun, but you know a little more, you feel more comfortable."

The ceremony will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas tonight at 8 p.m. EST.
