Simon Cowell: "X Factor musical is one of the funniest things I've ever seen"

Simon Cowell has lavished praise on the forthcoming X Factor musical.

Comedian Harry Hill has written a stage production about the popular TV talent program and the show is set to hit London's West End next year.

It's Time To Face The Musical! will be held at the Palladium from spring 2014 and speaking to the Evening Standard, Cowell said that it is set to be a rib-tickling show. He said:

"I'm excited now I've seen it. I sat through the workshops. Some of the actors were fill-ins and some of them were people that we will use. I think it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life."

The media mogul added: "It's not easy to get a theatre in the West End, but we've got one of the biggest so I'm delighted."
