Mick Fleetwood separates from wife

Drummer of the band Fleetwood Mac Mick Fleetwood has filed legal papers to separate from his wife of more than 17 years Lynn Frankel Fleetwood, citing "irreconcilable differences".

The couple have 11-year-old twin daughters Tessa and Ruby, and though Fleetwood requests joint legal custody of the girls, he requests that his wife gain physical custody.

Fleetwood filed the papers on March 22, but they have only become public now.

Fleetwood Mac are currently on tour in North America and have announced that they have new material due to be released this week.

Lindsey Buckingham made the announcement during a gig in Philadelphia on April 6, saying: "One of the things we thought would be a good idea before we hit the road would be to go into the studio and cut some new material. So last year we did that. It's the best stuff we've done in a long time and in a few days we're going to drop an EP of new stuff".
