Sir Paul McCartney has topped this year's Sunday Times Rich List.

The Beatle came out first in the list with an estimated fortune of £680m, making him Britain and Ireland's wealthiest musician.

The data shows composer Andrew Lloyd Webber in second place and Irish rockers U2 in third with a total of £520m.

Other names on the rich list include Sir Elton John and Mick Jagger, who have estimated fortunes of £240m and £200m respectively.

The full list will be published in the Sunday Times on April 21.
