Music mogul Simon Cowell confirmed that he is creating and starring in his own animated film.

The Britain's Got Talent judge loves cartoons and has just sold his first full-length animated feature film, which he has been working on for the last 10 years and has cast himself in a cameo role.

Although the script is a secret, Simon did confirm the project, saying: “I have an animation movie I have just sold. It’s my concept. It’s an idea I had ten years ago and the first studio I’ve gone to wants it. Making an animation is something I’ve always, always, wanted to do because I love cartoons. We only did the deal a few weeks ago so I’m not allowed to say any more.”

Cowell said he hopes to have it in cinemas by Christmas 2014.

“I am definitely looking to make more movies. We’ve already started with the Paul Potts film and One Direction movie but expect more," he added.
